These two quick ink studies from my sketchbook were drawn a few weeks apart, but I was struck by how similar father & daughter looked. The best part about drawing these was getting to stare at the subjects’ beautiful faces. Thanks for the inspiration you two.

So kids, don’t forget that if you’re drawing with a gel pen, your watercolors will not be happy about it. The skin tone got very smudged, but it seemed to add to the mood so I kept it.
